25+ years in capital markets. Connecting capital, storytelling and enterprise across Africa.

Building stories, businesses, & possibilities.

The Intersection

A career that refuses a single box.

Capital

Board Director, NGX. Capital markets. Investor relations. Over 25 years building and advising individuals and corporates.

Creativity

Executive Producer of Osamede. Founder, Gold Lilies Global Services. Advisory Board member – Africa Film Finance Forum.

Enterprise

Entrepreneur. Growth strategist. Boardroom Judge on The Next Titan. Co-founder, Drug Aid Africa.

My career doesn't fit neatly into a single box — and that's deliberate. Capital markets taught me how value is built and protected. Storytelling taught me how it's communicated and shared. I spend my time connecting those two worlds, because Africa's most important economic opportunities sit right at that junction.

The Strategic Pivot

The Strategic Pivot is a practical masterclass for professionals, entrepreneurs, and leaders seeking to evolve, grow, and fully embrace the many dimensions of who they are. After building a distinguished 25-year career in finance and capital markets, Lilian embarked on a bold transition into film production, storytelling, and the creative economy, demonstrating firsthand the power of transferable skills, adaptability, and intentional growth. A business leader, board director, investor, entrepreneur, mentor, and Executive Producer, Lilian's own journey reflects a powerful truth: we are often far more capable, adaptable, and multidimensional than we realize. She shares the lessons, mindsets, and strategies that help people navigate transitions and position themselves to step fully into their potential. Whether you are considering a career transition, pursuing a long-held passion, building a new venture, or seeking clarity about your next chapter, this course will help you move forward with greater intention, clarity and purpose. Because sometimes the most important move you can make is not a complete reinvention but a strategic pivot!

For executives, founders and professionals who know the next chapter exists but can't quite see the path to it.

About

The story behind the work.

Lilian U. Olubi

I grew up in finance. I spent two decades in capital markets learning how deals are structured, how institutions think, and how businesses actually get funded. I’ve advised on capital raising, transaction structuring and governance across the private and public sectors in Africa. I currently serve on the Board of the Nigerian Exchange Limited.

Then I became a filmmaker.

Not as a pure pivot from finance but a transposition, and the project reflects my commitment to demonstrating how African stories can be developed, financed, commercialised, and positioned for audiences around the world while creating sustainable economic value across the creative ecosystem.

Osamede is the result: an epic historical film inspired by the 1897 British invasion of the Benin Kingdom.

Through Gold Lilies Global Services, I work with creative enterprises that need both worlds: the strategic discipline that capital markets demand and the vision that good storytelling requires.

Africa’s creative industries are one of the most underestimated economic opportunities on the continent. That is changing. I intend to be part of the reason it changes.
